Roope Hintz scored with 1:56 left in overtime to give the Dallas Stars a 3-2 come-from-behind win over the host Ottawa Senators on Tuesday night.

Jason Robertson had a goal and two assists and Mikko Rantanen provided a goal and an assist for the Stars, who are 7-1-3 in their last 11 games. Defenseman Miro Heiskanen recorded his fourth straight multi-point effort with two assists, and Jake Oettinger stopped 27 shots.

Drake Batherson and defenseman Nick Jensen scored for the Senators, who stretched their point streak to six games (3-0-3). Linus Ullmark made 30 saves.

Hintz scored his third goal in four games since returning from an injury when he got the winner off a goal-mouth scramble after Ullmark had made two spectacular saves.

Robertson's power-play goal eight minutes into the third period tied the game 2-2. He beat Ullmark with a wrist shot from the high slot.

Rantanen scored on a breakaway with 3:38 left in the second period to bring Dallas to within 2-1. Rantanen was sprung by a pass from Robertson after forcing a turnover by Ottawa defenseman Tyler Kleven at the Stars' blue line.

Ottawa got off to a fast start and led 2-0 after the first period.

Batherson scored just 49 seconds into the game. He beat Oettinger with a wrist shot from the left circle.

Jensen's first goal since Jan. 15 of last season came at 8:53, when he put in a loose puck from in front. Michael Amadio assisted the goal to stretch his point streak to five games.

Ottawa had a 12-6 shots advantage in the opening period and dominated the play even more than that would indicate. Dallas did not get its first shot until more than seven minutes in.

The Senators finished the contest with only five defensemen because alternate captain Thomas Chabot left after the first period with an upper-body injury.
